FORMER US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has promised that, if elected, he will form an independent presidential commission on assassination attempts, which he will ask to release all remaining documents related to the assassination of former US President John F. Kennedy.
Trump said this at a campaign rally in Arizona, where he appeared on Friday with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Axios reports.
"The commission will also conduct a rigorous analysis of the attacks from last month," Trump said, referring to the attack on him at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Trump's statement came shortly after independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. announced he was suspending his campaign and endorsing the Republican presidential candidate.
Trump told CNN that he would "probably" give Kennedy Jr. a position in his administration if he withdrew from the presidential race and gave him his support.
