Two Palestinians dead in new protests

Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank in new protests against recognition by US President Donald Trump of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

A 16-year-old Palestinian fell dead from a fire that he received on the chest from Israeli soldiers who fired against protesters during Gaza-episode incidents with the Jewish state, guarded by a security fence.

Two more Palestinians were injured in clashes in the Palestinian enclave.

"Following violent demonstrations, dozens of Palestinians were throwing stones and rolling flaming tires against the soldiers, who responded by firing fire in the air and then against three protesters who threatened our forces," the Israeli army said.

In the West Bank, another 16-year-old Palestinian was killed by an Israeli fire in the village of Burnin, Namibus, the Palestinian ministry said.
